On an Italian forum I saw the following video mentioned in a thread about blades



In which some blades were tested for sharpness. At the end of the video this table is shown




I think it would have been useful to share to have something we can use to choose our blades but always remember that you and your face are the only ones that can really say which blade is better - and in which razor!

Great info indeed. Sad thing is that there are no gillettes tested..

Yeah, unfortunately still some blades are missing. Hopefully we will get results soon!

Βλέποντας την κατάταξη νομίζω πως έχει προκύψει με τη μέθοδο του ανεμιστήρα. Αλλά σχετικά είναι αυτά.

My personal experience almost completely coincides with the results of that particular list, rather than those provided by the topic starter. Feather, Bic, Permasharp and Voskhod tend to reward me more frequently with the closest and smoothest possible shaves. I am now compelled to check out those Nacets collecting dust since my wet shaving initiation.

I will be honest, I agree more with the list you posted than the one I posted. Also, I really like the fact that they show the sharpness after different shaves.

Yes, but it's HIS shave...

According to the 1st table, Voskhod & Wilkinson Sword seems to be sharper that Feather & Clifton.... In my face were one of the worst blades ever used...

I think that the most subsequent issue in shaving is the blades.... Too many factors appearing the very same time, e.g. time of shaving (morning or noon), safety razor, soap used, your preshaving treatment, the amount of days you haven't shaved, even your mood...

The best judge is yourself... At least blades are the cheaper thing in wet shaving....

As an initial guidance it might help, but just to give you a slight idea...
